Oh my goodness! The changes that were in our future are upon us and life is busy! I am now teaching Computers and I am the assistant softball coach at Heritage Middle School in Spring Hill, TN. Ross is now a stay-at-home Dad, well he's still a houseparent right now but once we finish here at TBCH, he'll be a stay-at-home Dad for our 3 kids. Yes, that's right, 3 KIDS!! We are adopting Candace and Lynn!! Candace will be 16 on Tuesday and Lynn is 12 years old. Candace will continue going to Brentwood High but Lynn has moved to Heritage Middle with me. Our last day at TBCH is Sept 15th and we are closing on our house in Spring Hill on Sept 5th. We are oh so excited and Candace and Lynn seem to be too.
Our other kids are doing okay with the news. J was really upset at first but Nick was mostly just excited for us. T and I both left TBCH in the last few weeks so we only have 2 kids that will be directly affected by our move. Please be praying for J and N as they move into another house.
Also, please be praying for C & L as they adjust to life not on campus. This campus is full of teens and activities so boredom will probably be an issue for Candace. Finally, pray for us as we buy a house, adopt 2 kids, adjust to our new jobs, and get on a budget for paying bills and buying groceries again. We know that this is God's will for us. We also know that our decision to leave TBCH doesn't make sense outside of it just being God's will so please don't think we are crazy, just think we are crazy followers of Christ.
C & L went with us to the beach the week before school started with my entire family. Everything went awesome! We actually told them we were adopting them while we were on vacation! My family did an amazing job included C & L...honestly, it felt like they were already a part of our extended family. Mady and Candace really hit it off. Turns out that M & C both LOVE Taylor Swift so they had an immediate bond. C taught M the superman dance and they took turns fixing each other's hair. Lynn jumped right in with my nieces and nephews with crab hunting, swimming, playing hide-and-seek, etc. Thanks Mom and Dad for the opportunity to vacation together yet again this year and to everyone for treating C&L just like you treat Justus. You guys are amazing.
I know this really wasn't much of an update for all that's going on but it's all I have time for now. Love you!

That was just the update I've been waiting for! No, we don't think you're crazy, but we know what you mean in that statement! Today Satan keeps creeping those thoughts in my head about our situation. What a ride! Praising the Lord for all He's doing in your life & praying for you as you step out in faith!!!! Can't wait to get our growing families together to introduce everyone!!!!
