Back on duty??

Ross and I have been off duty since Thursday afternoon...which is why I haven't blogged lately. During our time off, we make every effort possible to see family/friends, catch up on some rest, work out, and spend lots of time with Justus. This time off, we accomplished all of that. Friday night we met my Mom and Dad and Ross' Mom and Dad for dinner in Bell Buckle, TN. It was my Mom's birthday and one of our now 12-year old girl's birthday too so we got together and had a great birthday celebration. Our 12-year old was excited that she got to celebrate with us and was surprised that she received 3 gifts at dinner! Saturday was date night with Jacob and Tristin Abair. Dinner and a movie means so much more nowadays than it used to. Sunday, the Arrington's came over. The kids ran around while we caught up and the guys played Wii. Monday was time spent again with The Abair's as we headed over to their house for dinner. Finally, back on duty on Tuesday...so we thought. We had made beds, created a menu, and stocked the pantry for kids to return today only to realize that I had misread the schedule. We are on duty without kids today so we won't get kids back until tomorrow afternoon. What a bummer. While we certainly enjoy our time off, we also really enjoy our time with the kids. So, I guess we will rest up a little more and look even more forward to tomorrow afternoon.
